Here's a chance to create something super suave. A grey suit gives you every possible choice of tie colour. But a grey tie goes best with other neutrals, white and black. Perhaps it doesn't seem as much fun, but in return you have a golden opportunity to play with pattern a little without going overboard. Find the different grey shades, try a plaid suit, perhaps windowpane, a grey pockerchief in linen, why not dots tone in tone. But keep the shirt white – you'll get some contrast for one thing, but it's just the best tie/shirt combo. Lapel pin or boutonniere can always bring in a few dabs of colour. There, ready for church, a party, social or even auntie Gretels birthday party.
a present for my husband for Christmas so not yet seen nor tried by him, but all that he has had from you so far he has been very pleased with - thank you.
