Many consider velvet a bit too much, too shiny and slightly outdated. But it's trendy – not that every other Johnson on the street is swaggering about in a velvet tie, rather some funky, fashion oriented dudes with some attitude. And Emershan is cotton, hence matte. Probably still no funeral choice, mind you. But a velvet tie is a simple, sophisticated way of altering the black tie event a tad.
Super stylish tie. You may need to consider that velvet is a very heavy fabric, so even though the tie is narrow, it is difficult to get a tight, smaller knot. But so stylish that it doesn't matter.
